1 - 3:30pm Engaging the Participants
Discussion of participants’ experiences of socio-legal research. Small group interactive exercises with one Editor acting as facilitator for each group. Thereafter, Group representative presents precis of group discussion to all participants.

3:30 - 4pm Tea

4 - 5:30pm Understanding Editorial Policies and Processes
Editorial and refereeing processes, handy tips for publication success. With Q & A. All Editors

5:45 - 6:45pm Keynote Lecture
‘Legal Scholarship and Legal Professions: Some Reflections’ Prof Yash Pal Ghai and Dr Jill Cottrell Ghai

7pm Dinner BIEA gardens

DAY 2

9:30 - 12:30pm Feedback
Individual discussion and supportive criticism on papers with responsible editor. Other group members discuss their papers and feedback together and/or access BIEA library as needed.

Reflecting on specific feedback, on publication issues, and on effectiveness and future of writing workshops In groups with responsible editor

Group representatives present conclusions and questions for debate.
